The Managing Director (MD) serves as the accountable executive of an airline and head of overall strategic direction, leadership, and operational management of the airline. This role requires a dynamic leader who can effectively oversee all aspects of airline operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, drive financial sustainability, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the airline's strategic vision and long-term business objectives in alignment with the leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Lead the airline's growth and expansion initiatives, including network development, partnerships, and market positioning.
- Monitor industry trends and adapt strategies to remain competitive in a dynamic aviation market.

Operational Oversight:
- Ensure efficient management of all operational departments, including flight operations, engineering, commercial, and airport operations.
- Oversee implementation of safety, security, and quality standards in compliance with international aviation regulations and best practices.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement across all aspects of airline operations.

Regulatory Compliance and Liaison:
- Ensure full compliance with all local and international aviation regulations, including those set by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
- Serve as the primary liaison with aviation regulators, government agencies, and industry bodies to ensure the airlines interests are represented.
- Oversee audits and certifications to maintain operational and regulatory approvals.

Financial and Commercial Management:
- Drive financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue.
- Oversee pricing strategies, revenue management, and marketing initiatives to ensure profitability and market share growth.
- Lead efforts to secure funding, manage investor relations, and develop business plans for sustainability.

Stakeholder and Board Relations:
- Provide regular updates to the leadership and the Board of Directors on operational performance, financial health, and strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders, government agencies, and industry partners.


Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- A Masters degree (e.g., MBA) or professional aviation certification is preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the aviation industry, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing airline operations, regulatory compliance, and business growth

- Regular Record keeping of medicals of Cockpit Crew and Cabin Crew Ramp Operators food handlers of all domestic stations,
- Meticulous documentation to be displayed for yearly AOC on Bulletin board.

 Proper assumption of charge of his shift with exact head count and get debrief from outgoing EA.
 To carry out distribution of tasks to different personnel and deployment of available GHE in the shift.
 Proper monitoring of working locations and discipline of deployed personnel and GHE in his shift.
 All personnel are properly dressed and displaying required passes / cards.
 All deployed GHE is properly cleaned and serviceable with safety chocks and fire extinguishers.
 Required number of aircraft chocks and safety cones are available.
 Timely arrangement of aircraft parking place in coordination with CAA.
 Organize FOD drill with airside team.
 Close coordination with Flight Coordinator, Engineering and ASF for timely dispatch of flights.
 Coordination with airblue security for timely requisition of aircraft search teams.
 Proper internal and external cleaning of aircraft during turn around.
 After supervising turnaround cleaning operation, monitor performance of loading supervisor and deploy cleaning staff for external cleaning till Door Close.
 Safe operations on aircraft by personnel and deployed GHE.
 All trash collected after servicing of aircraft is properly disposed.
 Monitoring fulfillment of administrative needs of personnel in his shift.
 Raising of Airside Discrepancy Report (ADR) if any, to AMA before cease work.
 Feedback to Manager/Assistant Manager Airside on FSR, Hazard Reports etc.
 Prepare and complete Airside Activity Form.
 Load cleaning pre and post cleaning pictures on PA Net.
 Any additional duties assigned by AMA/MAS.

 Assist Director Airport Operations in monitoring smart request generated by all stations for GSE/
Cleaning materials including verification, approvals, follow ups with finance procurement and
courier custom clearance.
 To assist Director Airport Operations regarding shortlisting airside candidates, collection of their
CVs and other documents for further submitting to HR for their necessary action.
 Consolidate leave record of Airside staff, station wise payroll data and submit to HR.
 Maintain records of nominal roll transfers, promotions, and terminationsin coordination with HR.
 Address Airside employee issues related to medical insurance, password renewal, driving permit/
ASF pass renewal, and Uniform/Shoes sizes in coordination with procurement.
 Facilitate general coordination between Airside, Terminal Operations HR, IT, Finance, Medical,
Procurement, CAA and ASF.
 Coordination for OCS-related movement of Airside personnel, their ticketing and hotel
arrangements.
 Monitor Smart requests on daily basisfor allstations and coordinate with procurement for timely
processing.
 Coordinate all Airport entry passes.
 Maintain records for manuals and contracts.
 Responsible for all kinds of stationery management.
 Responsible to oversee the communication devices.
 Coordination with training instructor Airside regarding regular trainings at the stations.
 Monitor the updated data on PA Net file library of Airside Operations.
 Maintain close coordination with all stations.
 Monitor and take Action on FSRs related to Airside operations.
 Verify GSE hiring IN/OUT invoices and submit to Finance.
 Responsible for safe custody of confidential documents, personnel files and minutes of meeting
in the DAO office.
 Guidance to Airside staff of all stations on their day to day needs/activities.
 Handle any other tasks assigned by Director Airport Operations plus day to day operational
matters.

 Report to Airside Executive in proper uniform with high visibility jacket displaying valid passes for marking attendance.
 Check his duty/GHE allocation and take position at duty area on time.
 Manually tow/push non powered GHE with aircraft on instructions from AMA/AE.
 Be careful of speed and his vehicle limits while driving on apron.
 Ensure no body rides with him on vehicle if no seat is available.
 Check fitness of allocated GHE and carryout daily inspection before use.
 Proper cleaning and washing of vehicle.
 Ensure on time delivery of cargo/baggage to save ground time.
 Not to use vehicle for any purpose without instructions of AMA/AE.
 Never park his vehicle with aircraft or ramp area without marshaling and put required chocks as soon as it is parked.
 That he attends to his GHE as long as it is attached to the aircraft.
 In no case keys are to be left inside vehicle.
 All discrepancies in GHE must be reported to shift AMA/AE/AE(TGS) immediately and defect written on GHE log book.
 Any additional duties assigned by AMA/AE.

 Report to Executive Airside in proper uniform with high visibility jacket displaying valid passes for marking attendance.
 Check his duty allocation and take position at duty area on time.
 Manually tow / push non powered GSE with aircraft on instructions from EA.
 If positioned at check-in counters assist CSC in putting baggage on conveyor belts, assist wheelchair passengers, counter cleaning, placing tape barriers and banners.
 Load correct piece of baggage in trolleys and quickly move them to aircraft for loading.
 Make proper baggage reconciliation sheet.
 At aircraft follow loading instructions, load/offload baggage and cargo as per loading Performa.
 Loading of Rush tag, transfer tag and priority tag baggage as per EA instructions.
 No loading / offloading without the knowledge of EA.
 Cabin cleaning during turn around as per instructions.
 Lavatory cleaning and toilet flushing after wearing masks and gloves as per cleaning instructions.
 Clean kitchen, counters and galley as per instructions.
 Deep internal cleaning including baggage/cargo holds when advised by EA.
 External cleaning as specified and when ordered by EA.
 Use Flush cart to service aircraft as per instructions.
 Use water cart to replenish tanks with potable water.
 Remove any contamination caused by airsickness, spilled food or drink and stains from seats or carpet.

 Upkeep of all Ground Handling Equipment available at Ramp, as advised by AE (TGS).
 All scheduled maintenance of GHE is done as per their manuals.
 Preventive Maintenance Schedule for all GHE to be implemented.
 All Ground Handling Equipment have properly maintained Log Books.
 All maintenance activities on GHE recorded in their Log Books.
 Improve in house maintenance/repair capability.
 Defects pointed out by AS during operation/DI should be rectified ASAP.
 Upkeep of refueling, oil change record of all powered GHE.
 Record of spares for GHE like batteries, tires, bulbs etc. to be maintained and replenished as required in consultation with AE(TGS)/MAS.
 Any additional duties assigned by AMA/MAS

-Formulate and implement the effective sales strategies to meet and exceed the set sales targets.
-Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for expansion and growth of airlines customer base.
-Lead the Sales team of CMs, DMs and SMs .
-Set sales targets and monitor the performance of the sales teams.
-Coaching and mentoring the sales team to enhance performance of the team.
-Build and maintain strong relationship with travel agents including HGOs and Umrah selling consolidators and other stakeholders.

-Proactively coordinate with CRC for the timely adjustment of fares in view of competitors sales activities, seasonality and market demand. Stay updated with the industry developments.
-Work closely with marketing team to develop sales promotional campaigns.
-Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to identify the areas of improvement.
-Keep close eye on credit accounts to ensure that fortnight payments are not overdue. Ensure timely deposits of fortnight payments.

- Conducting complex analysis, synthesize large volumes of data, and develop unique insights and actionable recommendations for internal/external key stakeholders.
Compiling and maintaining flight database for ASKs, RPKs, Calculating Yield with the data extracted.
- Coordination with CAA and other regulatory authorities for submission of required data and other required information on day to day basis.

- Preparation of cost-benefit analysis of procurement both local and international including aircraft parts, logistics and services.
- Proper management of Fixed Asset Register of the company in coordination with relevant departments.
- Prepare organizational Sales Tax / Income Tax reports, co-ordination with Federal Board of Revenue for filing of these reports monthly/ quarterly and annually

6.Monitor delayed flights to ensure Regularity-above 90% and OTP-above 80%.
7.Maintaining above record on monthly basis in coordination with FOCC.
8.Monitor flights (arrival/departures) effected by out of slot syndrome and suggest remedial measures to concerned operational departments.
9.Keep vigilance on operational resources/requirements of each operational department to ensure their smooth functioning in support of flight operations.
10.Implementation of company policies on allowable baggage carriage and seat allocation complications in coordination with Terminal Operations.
