Where Excellence Takes Flight
Airblue is Pakistan's second-largest airline, with a growing share of the domestic aviation market.
Airblue was founded in 2003 through the vision and entrepreneurial partnership of Mr. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Mr. Tariq Chaudhary. Combining deep aviation industry knowledge, business leadership, and technological innovation, the founders set out to create a modern airline that would redefine air travel in Pakistan. Mr. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who serves as Airblue's Chief Operating Officer, played an instrumental role in establishing the airline and guiding its early growth. Alongside him, Mr. Tariq Chaudhary, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, brought extensive expertise in technology, systems development, and corporate management, helping shape Airblue into one of Pakistan's most innovative and technologically advanced airlines. Together, they envisioned an airline that would challenge traditional industry practices through operational efficiency, customer-centric service, and the adoption of modern technology.
Their shared commitment to excellence laid the foundation for Airblue's emergence as one of Pakistan's leading private aviation companies. The values established by the founders—innovation, integrity, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement—remain deeply embedded in the Company's culture and continue to guide its long-term growth and strategic direction.
